Getting There

• Bus

  From the center of Siena, head to the main bus station (Stazione FS Siena) which is located at Viale Vittorio Emanuele II. Look for the bus line to Castellina in Chianti. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule as they may vary. Once you arrive at the Castellina in Chianti bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers to reach Tenuta il Torrione. Head southeast on Via Roma, then take a left onto Via dei Porrini. Continue straight until you reach Località Le Macie, where Tenuta il Torrione is located.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Siena to Tenuta il Torrione. You can find taxis at designated taxi stands around the city or book one through a local taxi service. The journey will take around 20-25 minutes, depending on traffic, and will drop you directly at the entrance of Tenuta il Torrione.

• Walking

  If you are feeling adventurous and enjoy walking, you can walk from Siena to Tenuta il Torrione. The distance is approximately 12 kilometers and will take about 2.5 to 3 hours. Start from Piazza del Campo, heading towards Via Banchi di Sopra. Continue on Via di Città and follow signs to Castellina in Chianti. The route is scenic, passing through beautiful Tuscan countryside. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as this will be a lengthy walk.
