Our visit to San Giorgio a Lapi was everything we hoped for in a Tuscan winery experience. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and unmistakably family run. The tour was fascinating full of history, insight, and a clear love for the craft of wine making. The wines were exceptional, and the tasting was generous and relaxed. Lunch was superb: four beautifully prepared courses enjoyed on a terrace with panoramic views of the rolling Tuscan hills. It’s one of those settings you wish you could bottle and take home. The small group size (no more than about 15 people; 7 on our visit ) made the experience feel personal and unhurried. A lovely historical church on the property added an unexpected layer of charm. We arranged a private car for the visit, making the three hour experience comfortable. I’d thoroughly recommend this winery to anyone looking for an authentic, intimate, and delicious Tuscan experience.

As a family of 7, we had the opportunity to pick from 3 tasting menus, or in the case of my father in law, go bespoke! Not only was the wine exceptional, but the addition of cheeses and meats was a welcome addition. This was amazing value compared to other wine tasting places we considered.
