Getting There

  • Walking

    From the main square in Sorrento (Piazza Tasso), head towards the Sorrento train station (Stazione di Sorrento). Walk down Via Luigi de Maio until you reach the train station. Once there, purchase a ticket for the Circumvesuviana train to Naples. After boarding, enjoy the scenic ride which takes approximately 1 hour. Disembark at the Napoli Garibaldi station. From the station, follow the signs to the Metro Line 1 and take the Metro towards Piscinola. Get off at the Municipio stop. When you exit the station, turn left onto Via Vittorio Emanuele III. Continue straight for about 5 minutes until you see the Castel Nuovo on your right.

    From Piazza Tasso, walk to the bus stop at Via degli Aranci. Take the EAV bus line that goes to Naples. The bus will take you directly to Naples and take approximately 1.5 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the main bus station in Naples, walk towards the nearby Metro Line 1 (to get to Municipi). Take the Metro towards Piscinola and get off at Municipio. Exit the Metro station and turn left onto Via Vittorio Emanuele III. After about 5 minutes of walking, you will reach Castel Nuovo on your right.

    Starting from Sorrento, make your way to the Sorrento train station (Stazione di Sorrento) by walking down Via Luigi de Maio. Once at the station, purchase a ticket for the Circumvesuviana train bound for Naples. The ride will take around 1 hour. Get off at Napoli Garibaldi station. Upon exiting, follow the signs to the Metro Line 1 and board the train towards Piscinola. Disembark at Municipio station. After exiting, turn left onto Via Vittorio Emanuele III and walk straight for about 5 minutes until you see Castel Nuovo on your right.
