Train
From Sorrento, head to the Sorrento train station, which is located at Piazza Giovanni Battista de Curtis. Purchase a ticket for the Circumvesuviana train to Naples. Board the train heading towards Naples. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Napoli Garibaldi station, follow the signs to the Metro Line 1. Take the Metro towards Piscinola and get off at the 'Dante' stop. From there, exit the station and head to Via Toledo. Continue walking until you reach Piazza Mercato, which is a vibrant square known for its local market.
Bus
From the center of Sorrento, locate the bus stop at Piazza Tasso. Take the EAV bus heading to Naples. The bus ride will take about 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Naples, ask the driver to let you off at the nearest stop to Piazza Mercato, or look for signs directing you to the square. After disembarking, walk towards the square, which should be a short distance away.
Ferry
From Sorrento's harbor, take a ferry to Naples. Ferries to Naples typically depart from the Marina Piccola. The ferry ride lasts about 40 minutes. Upon arrival at the Naples harbor, disembark and follow the signs to the Metro Line 1. Take the Metro towards Piscinola and get off at the 'Dante' stop. Exit the station and walk to Via Toledo, continuing until you reach Piazza Mercato.
