Bus
From Sorrento, walk to the Sorrento train station. Once there, look for the bus stop for the EAV bus service. Take the bus heading towards Avellino. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Mercogliano' stop. From there, follow the signs to the Sanctuary of Montevergine, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill.

Start at Sorrento train station and take the Circumvesuviana train towards Naples. Get off at the 'Pomigliano d'Arco' station. From there, transfer to the EAV bus service that goes to Mercogliano. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. After arriving in Mercogliano, follow the signs to the Sanctuary of Montevergine, which is a 15-minute walk uphill.

If you're already in the central area of Sorrento, you can walk to the bus station and then follow the bus guidance above. However, walking directly to the Sanctuary of Montevergine is not recommended as it is quite far and involves steep hills.
