Walking
From the main square, Piazza Tasso, head towards the east side of the square and take Via San Cesareo. Walk straight until you reach the end of the street, then turn left onto Via S. Antonino. Continue walking until you reach the bus station, Circumvesuviana. From here, take the Circumvesuviana train towards Naples. It takes about an hour. Upon arriving at Napoli Garibaldi station, exit the station and follow signs for the Metro. Take the Metro Line 2 towards Pozzuoli and get off at the 'Centrale' station. From there, transfer to Line 1 towards Piscinola and get off at 'Toledo' station. Exit the station and walk towards Via Toledo, then follow the signs leading to Piazza Duca D'Aosta, where Teatro Augusteo is located.

From Sorrento, head to the Sorrento train station and catch the Circumvesuviana train bound for Naples. The journey takes approximately 60 minutes. Once you arrive at Napoli Garibaldi station, exit and walk towards the Metro station. Take Metro Line 2 towards Pozzuoli and get off at 'Centrale'. Transfer to Line 1 towards Piscinola and disembark at 'Toledo' station. After exiting the station, follow the directions to Via Toledo and walk towards Piazza Duca D'Aosta, where you will find Teatro Augusteo.
