Getting There

• Bus

  From Trieste, head to the Trieste Bus Station located at Piazza della Libertà. Take the bus number 51 towards Cividale del Friuli. Enjoy the scenic ride as you travel towards the border. Once you reach the town of Motovun, get off at the bus stop located on the main road. From there, it’s a short walk to Vina Bertoša at Kaldir 20; follow the signs towards the winery which is about a 15-minute walk uphill.

• Train and Bus

  Start at the Trieste Centrale train station. Take a train to the nearest station, which is usually either Buje or Pazin, depending on the train schedule. From the train station, look for local bus services heading to Motovun. Once you arrive in Motovun, either ask for directions or follow the path to Kaldir 20, Vina Bertoša, which is approximately a 20-minute walk from the bus stop.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you're feeling adventurous, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Trieste. Ride towards the scenic countryside, taking the route through the hills towards Motovun. It’s about a 30 km ride, so make sure you're prepared for a workout! Once you arrive in Motovun, follow the local signs to Kaldir 20 where Vina Bertoša is located.

  Join a local guided walking tour that includes a visit to Motovun. These tours typically start from central Trieste and will take you through the beautiful landscapes to the winery. Your guide will provide you with all necessary information and ensure you reach Vina Bertoša without any hassle.
