Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Val di Fassa, such as Canazei or Pozza di Fassa. Head towards Strada Statale 641 (SS641) and follow the signs for Tonadico. Continue on SS641 until you reach the junction for Tonadico. Turn left onto Via della Chiesa and follow it as it leads you into the town. Once in Tonadico, look for signs directing you to Il Cristo Pensante, which is located on the hill above the town. There is a small parking area near the site where you can leave your car.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take a bus from Canazei or another town in Val di Fassa that connects to the local bus service. You will want to board a bus headed towards Tonadico. The bus will drop you off in the center of Tonadico. From there, you can either walk (approximately 30 minutes uphill) or take a local taxi service to reach Il Cristo Pensante. Be sure to check the local bus schedules for departure times, as services may vary.

• Walking

  If you're feeling adventurous and are already in Tonadico, you can walk directly to Il Cristo Pensante. Start from the main square (Piazza della Chiesa) and follow Via della Chiesa uphill. The path is well-marked and will lead you through scenic landscapes. The walk takes around 30 minutes and is moderately steep, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
