Car
If you are driving, start from Aosta, the capital of Valle d'Aosta. Take the A5 motorway towards Courmayeur. Continue on the A5 until you reach the exit for 'Pré-Saint-Didier'. Follow the signs for SS26 towards Morgex and then turn onto the SR42 road towards La Thuile. Continue on this road until you reach the junction for the Aosta Valley ski area. Here, follow signs for 'Zermatt' and park in the designated car park. From there, you will need to take a short shuttle bus to the town center of Zermatt, as cars are not allowed in the town itself. Once in Zermatt, follow signs to Leisee, which is a popular lake located a short hike from the town center.

To reach Leisee using public transportation, start at the Aosta train station. Take a train to Brig, Switzerland. From Brig, you will need to take the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn train towards Zermatt. The journey will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Zermatt, disembark and follow the signs to the bus station. Take the local bus that goes towards the 'Leisee' area. The bus will drop you off at the nearest stop to the lake. From there, it is a scenic 15-minute walk to reach Leisee.
