Car
From anywhere in Veneto, take the A4 motorway towards Venice. Follow signs for 'Venezia' and exit at 'Venezia-Mestre'. Once you exit, follow the signs for 'Venezia Centro' and continue driving toward Piazzale Roma. Note that you'll need to leave your car here, as cars are not permitted in the historic center of Venice. Parking at Piazzale Roma usually costs around €25-€30 per day. From Piazzale Roma, walk to the Vaporetto (water bus) station located nearby.

Catch the Vaporetto Line 1 or Line 2 from the Piazzale Roma station towards San Marco. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'San Marco' stop, which is the closest stop to Saint Mark's Basilica. From the Vaporetto stop, walk about 5 minutes towards the piazza, following the signs for 'Piazza San Marco'.

Public Transportation (Train)
If you are in another part of Veneto, such as Verona or Treviso, you can take a train to Venice Santa Lucia station. The train ride from Verona takes about 1.5 hours, while from Treviso, it takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Santa Lucia station, exit the station and head towards the Vaporetto stops just outside the station. Take either Line 1 or Line 2 towards San Marco and disembark at the 'San Marco' stop. This will take about 30 minutes.
