Campo Santo Stefano: A Serene Gem in the Heart of Venice

Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from Piazza San Marco, head northwest toward the Basilica di San Marco. Once you reach the basilica, take the narrow street to the left of it, Calle del Loredan, and continue straight until you reach the end of the street. Turn left onto Campo della Guerra and follow it until you reach the first small square, Campo Santo Stefano. The vibrant square will be ahead of you.

  From the Rialto Bridge, head towards the Campo San Bartolomeo. Continue straight through the narrow streets, following signs to Campo Santo Stefano. When you reach the intersection at Campo San Luca, turn right and follow the path until you enter Campo Santo Stefano, where you'll find a beautiful square surrounded by historic buildings.

• Walking

  If you're near the Accademia Gallery, exit the museum and head east along the canal. Cross the Accademia Bridge and continue straight down the street until you reach Campo Santo Stefano. The square will be on your left, easily visible as you approach.

  From the train station (Santa Lucia), exit onto the main street, Lista di Spagna, and head south. Walk toward the Grand Canal, then take the Vaporetto (water bus) Line 1 towards San Marco. Get off at the San Toma stop, and from there, follow the signs towards Campo Santo Stefano. It's a short walk through the picturesque streets.
