If you are near the Rialto Bridge, head south along the Calle della Bissa until you reach the Grand Canal. Cross the Grand Canal via the Rialto Bridge and continue straight on the Merceria, which will lead you to Piazza San Marco. Once you arrive at Piazza San Marco, you will see the iconic Basilica di San Marco on your left. The Carta Gate is located at P.za San Marco, 1, right next to the Basilica.

If you are near the Grand Canal, find the nearest Vaporetto stop. Take Line 1 or Line 2 towards San Marco. Disembark at the San Marco Vallaresso stop. From there, walk towards the square, and as you enter Piazza San Marco, you will see the Basilica di San Marco. The Carta Gate is located at P.za San Marco, 1, just adjacent to the Basilica.
