    If you are near the Grand Canal, find the nearest Vaporetto stop. Take Line 1 or Line 2 towards San Marco. Disembark at the San Marco Vallaresso stop. From there, walk towards the square, and as you enter Piazza San Marco, you will see the Basilica di San Marco. The Carta Gate is located at P.za San Marco, 1, just adjacent to the Basilica.
