Walking
If you are in the heart of Venice, make your way to the main ferry terminal, called 'Piazzale Roma'. From there, take the Vaporetto (water bus) Line 1 towards 'San Marco'. Get off at 'San Marco Vallaresso' stop. Walk towards Piazza San Marco, and from there, head to the nearest Vaporetto stop, which is 'San Zaccaria'. Take the train towards 'Padova', which will take you to the Padova train station. Once there, exit the station and walk towards 'P.za Garibaldi', where you will find Porta Altinate.

From Venice Santa Lucia train station, purchase a ticket for a train to Padova. Trains run frequently and the journey takes approximately 25 minutes. Once you arrive at Padova, exit the train station and navigate to the bus stop outside the station. Take bus number 5 or 10, which will take you directly to 'P.za Garibaldi'. Once you reach the square, you will see Porta Altinate nearby.
