Exploring the Serenity of Rio della Misericordia: A Hidden Gem in Venice

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Rialto Bridge, head east along the Strada Nova (Strada Nuova). Keep walking until you reach the intersection with the Rio di San Felice. Turn left here and follow this narrow street until you reach the next canal. Cross the bridge over the canal and continue straight. You will see signs pointing towards Rio della Misericordia as you approach.

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Train Station (Santa Lucia), exit the station and head straight towards the Grand Canal. Cross the Ponte della Costituzione (the modern bridge) and continue walking straight along the Strada Nova. Follow the same path as mentioned before until you reach the intersection with the Rio di San Felice, then turn left and proceed to Rio della Misericordia.

• Walking

  From St. Mark's Square, make your way towards Calle Larga XXII Marzo. Head north through the streets until you reach the Grand Canal. Once there, navigate towards the Rialto Bridge. From the Rialto Bridge, follow the previous walking directions towards Rio della Misericordia.

• Public Transport (Vaporetto)

  Take the Vaporetto Line 1 from any stop along the Grand Canal towards Piazzale Roma. Get off at the Rialto stop. From there, follow the walking directions provided earlier to reach Rio della Misericordia.
