Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are near the Rialto Bridge, start walking towards the San Marco area. Head south on Calle dei Fabbri until you reach Piazza San Marco. Once you reach the square, you will see the magnificent Saint Mark's Basilica on your left. Doge's Palace is located right next to the basilica, at P.za San Marco, 1. It's an impressive building with a distinct façade, and you can't miss it.

  • Walking

    From the Vaporetto stop at San Marco, disembark and head towards the large open space of Piazza San Marco. As you walk into the square, you will see the imposing Doge's Palace directly in front of you, adjacent to the basilica. The palace is easily identifiable by its pink and white marble façade.

  • Walking

    If you are coming from the Accademia Gallery, exit and head towards the Grand Canal. Walk along the canal towards the east until you reach the San Marco area. Continue walking until you see the entrance to Piazza San Marco on your right. Enter the square, and Doge's Palace will be on your left, right next to the basilica.

    If you are starting from the train station (Santa Lucia), it's best to take the Vaporetto Line 1 towards Lido. Get off at the San Marco stop. Once you disembark, walk towards Piazza San Marco. As you enter the square, you will see Doge's Palace on the right side of the square, next to Saint Mark's Basilica.
