Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are near the Rialto Bridge, head south down the Salizzada San Giovanni Crisostomo towards Campo San Bartolomeo. Continue straight until you reach the Campo San Luca. From there, turn left onto the Mercerie, which leads directly to Piazza San Marco. Follow the Mercerie until you see the large open square of Piazza San Marco ahead. This walk should take around 15-20 minutes.

  • Vaporetto (Water Bus)

    If you are near the Grand Canal, find the nearest Vaporetto stop. Take the line 1 Vaporetto towards Lido or San Marco. Get off at the 'San Marco' stop. Once you disembark, follow the signs pointing towards Piazza San Marco. The square is just a short walk from the Vaporetto stop, and you will see the stunning Basilica and Campanile as you approach.

    From the Accademia Bridge, head east along the Calle Gallo until you reach the Campo Santo Stefano. From there, take the Calle delle Ostreghe towards the Piazza San Marco. Keep going straight and you will arrive at the iconic square in about 15 minutes.
