From Santa Croce, start by heading towards the Grand Canal. You can walk towards the nearest bridge, Ponte della Costituzione, and cross it to reach the other side. Once across, continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with the Strada Nova. Turn left and walk along Strada Nova until you reach the next intersection. Turn right onto Calle delle Rasse, which will lead you towards the waterfront. Follow this street until you reach the majestic Piazza San Marco, where the Doge's Palace is located. The walk will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.

If you prefer to take the Vaporetto, you can walk to the nearest Vaporetto stop, which is likely to be 'P.le Roma'. From there, board a Vaporetto on Line 1 or Line 2 heading towards San Marco.
