Getting There

• Public Transport

  To reach Eremo di san Valentino from Verona, start by making your way to the Verona Porta Nuova train station. From the station, catch a train to Gargnano. Check the Trenitalia website for the latest schedule, as trains may not run frequently. Once you arrive at Gargnano, exit the station and head towards the main road. Look for local signs or ask for directions to the nearby bus stop for bus line that goes towards the area of Eremo di san Valentino. You will need to take the bus and get off at the closest stop to the Eremo. From there, it’s about a 15-20 minute walk uphill to the Eremo di san Valentino. Follow the signs to ensure you are on the right path.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk from the center of Verona, head to the main bus station at Via Giuseppe Mazzini and take the bus to Gargnano. Once you arrive in Gargnano, you can walk towards Eremo di san Valentino. Head north on Via Repubblica and continue straight. You'll see signs directing you towards the Eremo. The walk is scenic and should take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on your pace. Be prepared for some uphill sections as you approach the Eremo.

• Bicycle Rental

  For a more adventurous option, consider renting a bicycle in Verona. You can find numerous bike rental shops in the city. Once you have a bike, follow the bike paths leading out of the city towards Gargnano. The ride is approximately 20 km and will take about 1-2 hours depending on your cycling speed. Once you reach Gargnano, follow local signs to Eremo di san Valentino, which is a bit uphill from the town center.
