Getting There

• Public Transport

  From the city center of Verona, head to the Verona Porta Nuova Train Station. You can walk there from popular sites such as Piazza Bra or the Arena di Verona. Once at the train station, purchase a ticket for a train to Mantova (Mantua). The train frequency is around every 30 minutes. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Upon arrival at Mantova train station, transfer to a local bus (Line 9 or Line 13) towards Cavriana. Get off at the 'Cavriana' stop. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk to Santuario della Madonna della Pieve, which is located on Via Pieve. Follow the signs towards the shrine, which should be visible as you approach.

• Walking

  If you are in central Verona, an option is to walk to the nearest bus station, such as 'Piazza Isolo,' which is about a 20-minute walk from popular areas like Piazza Bra. From Piazzo Isolo, take a bus towards Cavriana. After arriving in Cavriana, you can walk the remaining distance to Santuario della Madonna della Pieve, which is approximately a 15-20 minute walk. Head north on Via G. Garibaldi, then turn left onto Via Pieve, where the shrine is located.

• Bicycle Rental

  For a more active option, consider renting a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Verona. Cycle towards the outskirts of the city, following bike paths that lead towards Mantova. This route will take you through scenic countryside. The distance to Santuario della Madonna della Pieve is approximately 20 kilometers, so plan for about 1.5 to 2 hours of cycling. Once you reach Cavriana, follow local signs to Via Pieve where the sanctuary is located.
