Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Verona Arena, exit the arena and head towards Via Mazzini, a pedestrian street. Walk along Via Mazzini, which is a popular shopping street. Continue straight until you reach Piazza delle Erbe, a lively square filled with cafes and market stalls. From Piazza delle Erbe, head towards the north side of the square and take Via S. Maria in Chiavica. Follow this street until you reach Via S. Maria Antica. Turn left onto Via S. Maria Antica, and the Scaliger Tombs will be on your right, located at Via S. Maria Antica, 4.

  • Walking

    If you are near the Castelvecchio Museum, exit the museum and turn left onto Viale A. D. F. Mazzini. Walk straight until you reach Ponte di Castelvecchio (Castle Bridge). Cross the bridge and turn left onto Corso Cavour. Continue along Corso Cavour until you reach Piazza delle Erbe. From there, follow the previous walking instructions to reach the Scaliger Tombs by heading towards Via S. Maria in Chiavica, then turning left onto Via S. Maria Antica.

    If you are near the Porta Borsari (an ancient city gate), exit the gate and walk straight on Corso Porta Borsari. Continue straight until you reach Piazza delle Erbe. Once at Piazza delle Erbe, follow the earlier instructions to reach the Scaliger Tombs: head towards Via S. Maria in Chiavica and then turn left onto Via S. Maria Antica.

    If you are at the Verona Porta Nuova Train Station, take the bus line 11 or 12 towards the city center. Get off at the stop named 'Piazza Bra'. From Piazza Bra, walk towards the Verona Arena.
