Car
To reach Morant Point Lighthouse by car, start from the A4 highway. If coming from Kingston, head east on the A4 towards Morant Bay. Continue on the A4 until you reach the town of Morant Bay. From Morant Bay, follow signs to Morant Point Lighthouse. The road may become rough and unpaved towards the end, so proceed with caution. A 4WD is recommended during the rainy season. Limited parking is available near the lighthouse.
Public Transportation
From Yallahs Valley, take a taxi or bus towards Morant Bay. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Morant Point turn-off on the A4 highway. From the turn-off, it's approximately 2 miles to the lighthouse. You can walk or hire a local taxi for the remaining distance. Negotiate the fare with the driver beforehand. Taxi fare from the turn-off to the lighthouse is approximately JMD 200-300. Ensure you have small bills.
Walking
If you arrive at the turn-off on the A4 highway via public transport, you can walk the remaining 2 miles to Morant Point Lighthouse. The walk offers scenic views. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and be mindful of traffic. Walking during daylight hours is advisable.
