Getting There

• Car

  From Port Antonio, head east on Harbour Street toward West Street. Continue straight onto the A4 road, following signs for Annotto Bay. After about 8 km, turn left onto the B1 road toward Fairy Hill. Continue on B1 for approximately 5 km until you reach the entrance to the Fairy Hill area. Look for signs directing you to Pellew Island. Note that there is no direct access to the island via car; you will need to park nearby and proceed by boat.

  From Port Antonio, take a local taxi or a bus heading towards Annotto Bay. You can catch a bus from the main bus station in Port Antonio. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Fairy Hill. The fare is approximately JMD 200-300. Once you arrive at Fairy Hill, you will need to walk to the nearest dock or beach area to find a boat service that can take you to Pellew Island. Be prepared to negotiate the price for the boat ride, which may range from JMD 500-1500 per person depending on the service.

  Once you reach Fairy Hill, look for local fishermen or boatmen offering trips to Pellew Island. It is advisable to arrange your boat ride in advance or ask locals for recommendations on reliable boat operators. The boat ride typically takes about 15-20 minutes, and costs can vary. Ensure you confirm the return trip with the boat operator before departing to avoid any inconveniences.
