Portmore Mall, located in the heart of Portmore, Jamaica, has been a vital part of the community since its opening on February 10, 1993. Developed by the Urban Development Corporation (UDC), it was once the largest covered indoor mall in the Caribbean. The mall quickly became a central hub for shopping and entertainment in the developing city. At the time, it was the only fully air-conditioned mall in Jamaica.Today, Portmore Mall continues to offer a diverse range of stores, from fashion boutiques to electronics shops, as well as beauty salons and local craft vendors. The mall also features a food court with both international and Jamaican cuisine. For families, there are arcades, game zones, and a cinema. Amenities include ample parking, ATMs, restrooms, and baby changing stations.While the mall has evolved over the years, adapting to changing economic conditions, it remains a significant landmark in Portmore, offering a convenient and diverse shopping experience for locals and visitors alike.

Public Transport
From Kingston, the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) operates buses to Portmore. Several routes connect Kingston to Portmore Mall. The bus is an affordable option, with fares around $1 USD. Be prepared for a potentially crowded ride.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Kingston and Portmore. A taxi ride from Kingston to Portmore Mall typically costs between 2800 JMD for a 5km ride. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey. Ride-sharing apps are also available.
Driving
If driving from Kingston, take the Portmore leg of Highway 2000. This is a toll road. After crossing the Causeway bridge, the mall is located at the entrance of Portmore. Ample parking is available at the mall. Toll fees for the Portmore leg of Highway 2000 are approximately 300 JMD.
