    If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Aki city. Head southeast on Route 55 towards Koyasan. After approximately 25 km, you will reach the town of Koya. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Kumagai-ji Temple. Turn left onto Koyasan road, and follow the signs for about 3 km. The temple will be on your left. Parking is available on-site, but may incur a fee.

  • Public Transportation - Bus

    From Aki Station, take the bus bound for Koyasan. Buses run regularly, and the trip takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Koyasan, you can either walk (approximately 30 minutes) or take a local taxi to Kumagai-ji Temple. The temple is about 3 km from the bus stop. Expect to pay around 800 yen for the bus fare.
