From the Todaiji Daibutsuden/Kasugataisha-mae bus stop, walk approximately 5 minutes to the lantern. Head north, passing the main hall (Daibutsuden) on your left. The Bronze Octagonal Lantern is located in front of the Daibutsuden. No additional costs are associated with this final approach.

Public Transport
From either JR Nara Station or Kintetsu Nara Station, take the Nara Kotsu city loop bus to the Todaiji Daibutsuden/Kasugataisha-mae bus stop. The bus ride takes about 7 minutes. From the bus stop, it is a 5-minute walk to the lantern. A single bus fare costs ¥220. After exiting the bus, walk north, passing through the Nandaimon Gate, and continue towards the main hall (Daibutsuden). The Bronze Octagonal Lantern is located in front of the Daibutsuden.

From Kintetsu Nara Station, a taxi ride to Todaiji Temple costs approximately ¥800-¥1000 and takes around 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. Ask the driver to drop you off at the main entrance.
