Car
If you are driving, head towards Himeji City. From the Himeji Bypass, take the Himeji Central Exit. Continue straight on Route 2 (Sanyo-Dori) and follow the signs for Himeji Castle. Once you reach the area near the castle, look for Honmachi Street. The Himeji City Zoo is located at 68 Honmachi, just a short distance from the main road. There is parking available nearby, but it may fill up quickly on weekends.

Public Transportation
To reach Himeji City Zoo by train, take the JR Sanyo Line to Himeji Station. Upon arrival, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal located just outside the station. Board a local bus heading towards Himeji Castle. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Disembark at the stop closest to Himeji Castle, and from there, it is a short 10-minute walk to the zoo. Follow the signs toward Honmachi Street, and you will find the zoo at 68 Honmachi.
