If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Harima and head towards Himeji city. Take National Route 2 and follow the signs for Himeji. Once you reach Himeji, continue on Route 2 until you see signs for Koko-en. There is parking available near the entrance at 68 Honmachi, Himeji, Hyogo 670-0012. The gardens are open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Public Transportation
To reach Koko-en using public transport, take a train from Harima Station to Himeji Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Himeji Station, exit the station and head towards the North Exit. From the North Exit, you can either walk to Koko-en, which takes approximately 15 minutes, or take a local bus that stops near the gardens. The address is 68 Honmachi, Himeji, Hyogo 670-0012.
