Getting There

    From Hiroshima city center, take the Sanyo Expressway (E2) heading west. Exit at the Akiōta Interchange and follow the signs to Route 186. Continue on Route 186 for about 20 minutes until you reach the town of Akiōta. Once in Akiōta, follow the signs for Sandankyo Gorge, which will lead you to Shiwagi. The scenic spot is accessible via a short drive, and you will find parking available nearby.

    From Hiroshima Station, take a local train on the Geibi Line to Akiōta Station. The train ride takes approximately 1 hour.
