Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the main city area of Ishigaki. Head northeast on Route 390 towards Fukai. Continue for about 20 minutes until you reach the junction with Route 78. Turn left onto Route 78 and follow the signs for Arakawa Falls. The waterfall is located about 15 minutes from the junction. You will find a small parking area just before the entrance to the falls.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Arakawa Falls via public transportation, take a local bus from Ishigaki City. Look for the bus route that heads to Fukai. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Ask the driver to let you off at the nearest stop to Arakawa Falls. From the bus stop, it is a short 15-minute walk to the falls. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited.

• Walking

  If you're already in the vicinity of Arakawa Falls, walking can be a scenic option. From the nearest bus stop or parking area, follow the signs directing you to Arakawa Falls. The path is relatively easy and well-marked, taking about 15 minutes to reach the falls. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the terrain can be uneven in some areas.
