Car
If you are traveling by car, start from central Izu and take Route 135 heading south towards Shimoda. Continue on Route 135 for about 30 minutes. Follow the signs to Shimoda, and as you approach the city, keep an eye out for Sanchome. Once you reach Sanchome, turn left onto Sanchome street. The Admiral Perry's Arrival Memorial Stone is located at 6-6 Sanchome, Shimoda, Shizuoka 415-0023. There is usually parking available nearby, but be prepared to pay parking fees which can range from ¥300 to ¥500 per hour.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a train from Izu to Shimoda Station. Board the Izukyu Line at Izu Station and travel to Shimoda Station, which takes about 40 minutes. Upon arrival at Shimoda Station, exit the station and take bus number 2 towards Sanchome. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the Sanchome stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to the memorial stone located at 6-6 Sanchome. The bus fare is around ¥210, and the train fare from Izu Station to Shimoda Station is approximately ¥800.
