After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach the town of Minato. Look for signs indicating Cape Tarai. The parking area is available at the base of the cape, and parking fees may apply. Make sure to bring cash for the parking fee.

To reach Cape Tarai using public transportation, start by taking a train from Izu City to the nearest station, which is the Minamiizu Station on the Izu Kyuko Line. Once you arrive at Minamiizu Station, you can take a local bus towards Minato. Buses run regularly, but check the schedule in advance as they may not run frequently. The bus ride will take about 20-30 minutes. After you get off at the Minato bus stop, follow the signs leading to Cape Tarai, which is a short walk away.
