By Car
If you're driving from central Izu, take the Izu Skyline toll road towards Nishiizu. Exit at 'Nishiizu' and follow Route 136 towards Dogashima. After approximately 30 minutes, you will arrive at Dogashima. Parking is available near the cave tour entrance, but be prepared for a parking fee, which is typically around ¥500.
By Public Transportation
To reach Dogashima by public transportation, take a train from Izu Station to Shuzenji Station. From Shuzenji, transfer to the Izukyu Railway Line towards Ito and get off at Dogashima Station. The journey takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. From Dogashima Station, you can take a local bus (Kamo Bus) towards Dogashima, which takes about 15 minutes. Be sure to check the bus schedule as they may not run frequently. The bus fare is approximately ¥500.
Walking from Dogashima Station
If you prefer to walk from Dogashima Station, it's about a 30-minute walk to the Dogashima Cave Tour. Exit the station and head east towards Route 136. Follow the road signs that direct you to Dogashima, enjoying the scenic views along the way.
