Car
If you are driving from Izu, take the Shin-Tomei Expressway. Exit at Gotemba IC which is approximately 45 minutes away from Izu. From the exit, follow Route 138 towards Hakone. Continue straight until you see signs for Hakone Ashinoko Observation Park. The park is located at 〒412-0029 Shizuoka, Gotemba, Koyama, 丸嶽落合1920-9. Parking is available on-site, and there might be a small fee for parking.
Public Transportation
Start by taking a train from Izu to Gotemba Station. You can take the Izu Hakone Railway from Izu to Odawara, then transfer to the JR Gotemba Line to reach Gotemba Station. The train ride takes about 1 to 1.5 hours. Once at Gotemba Station, take the bus bound for Hakone. Get off at the Hakone Ashinoko Observation Park stop. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Be sure to check the bus schedule, as it may vary. A one-way train ticket costs approximately ¥1,500, and the bus fare is around ¥500.
