Car
If you are driving, head towards the Shuzenji area in Izu. From the Izu interchange on the Tomei Expressway, take Route 1 towards Numazu. After about 12 km, take the exit toward Shuzenji. Follow Route 136 for approximately 5 km until you reach the center of Shuzenji. Hie Shrine is located at Shuzenji, Izu, Shizuoka 410-2416. There is limited parking available nearby, so arrive early if possible. Be aware that parking may incur a small fee depending on the location.
Public Transportation (Train + Bus)
To reach Hie Shrine via public transportation, start by taking the train to Shuzenji Station. You can board the Izukyu Line from either Atami or Ito stations. Once you arrive at Shuzenji Station, exit the station and look for the bus stop. Take the local bus bound for Shuzenji Onsen or the Hie Shrine bus. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Once you arrive at the stop for Hie Shrine, it’s a short walk to the shrine itself. Be sure to check the bus schedule as services may be limited.
