Car
If you are driving, start by heading towards Route 138 from your current location in Izu. Follow the signs for Fujiyoshida and Yamanakako. Continue on Route 138 for about 30 kilometers until you reach the Yamanakako area. As you approach Yamanakako, look for signs directing you to Hirano. Turn onto Hirano Street, which will lead you to the base of Mt. Mikuni. You can park at designated parking areas near the trailhead.
Public Transportation
To reach Mt. Mikuni using public transportation, take a bus from Izu to Yamanakako. Look for buses that connect to the Yamanakako area, which may require a transfer at Fujiyoshida Station. Once you arrive at Yamanakako, locate the local bus service to Hirano. The bus will take you closer to the base of Mt. Mikuni. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary. Once you arrive in Hirano, follow the signs leading to Mt. Mikuni.
