Getting there

Car

If you are driving, head towards Shuzenji in Izu. From the Izu Interchange (Izu IC), take Route 1 heading towards Shuzenji. After about 15 minutes, you will reach Shuzenji. Look for signs pointing to Tokko no Yu, which is located near the center of Shuzenji. There is usually parking available nearby, but be prepared to pay for parking, which typically costs around 500 yen per hour.

Train and Bus

For those using public transportation, start by taking the JR Tokaido Line to Mishima Station. From Mishima Station, transfer to the Izuhakone Railway and take the train towards Shuzenji. The ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Shuzenji Station, exit the station and look for the bus stop for the Tokko no Yu shuttle bus. The bus ride is approximately 10 minutes and costs around 300 yen. The bus will drop you off near the entrance to Tokko no Yu.

Walking

If you find yourself near the center of Shuzenji, you can reach Tokko no Yu by walking. From the Shuzenji Onsen area, head towards the foot bath. It is about a 10-minute walk. Follow the signs to Tokko no Yu, which is located at the coordinates 34.970467, 138.927538. The area is well-marked, and you will enjoy the scenic views along the way.
