  • Public Transport

    From Tobu Nikko Station or JR Nikko Station, take a bus towards Sannai. A Nikko World Heritage Tour Handbook, available for purchase at the station, can be convenient for using the circular bus. The bus ride takes approximately 20 minutes to the Sannai stop, from which Takino'o Shrine is a short walk.

  • Walking

    From the Kambashi bus stop, it is approximately a 35-minute walk to Takino'o Shrine. Alternatively, if you are already visiting Nikko Futarasan Shrine, Takino'o Shrine is about 1 kilometer to the west. The Takino-o Path, a 5 km stone-paved lane, leads through a cedar forest to the shrine, starting from Shinkyo Bridge.

  • Taxi

    A taxi from either Tobu-Nikko or JR Nikko Stations to Takino'o Shrine will take approximately 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. The cost is estimated to be between ¥1,500 and ¥2,000. Taxis are readily available at both stations.
