Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Kyoto or Kobe, take the Hanshin Expressway. For those coming from Kyoto, use the Kyoto Route to connect to the Umeda Route and follow the signs to Namba. For visitors coming from Kobe, take the Bay Shore Route to the Namba exit. Use a GPS device or map application to navigate to '1 Chome Dotonbori, Chuo Ward, Osaka, 542-0084.' Once you arrive in the area, look for parking facilities nearby, as parking can be limited. Expect to pay around ¥500 to ¥1,000 for a few hours of parking.

• Public Transportation - Train

  To reach Nipponbashi Bridge by train, take the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line to Namba Station. From Namba Station, transfer to the Nankai Electric Railway and take the Nankai Main Line to Nankai Namba Station. Once you arrive, exit the station and walk towards Dotonbori. Nipponbashi Bridge is located just a short walk away, approximately 10 minutes. Follow the signs for Dotonbori, and you will see the bridge spanning the Dotonbori Canal.

  If you prefer to take a bus, board a bus bound for Namba from various locations in the Kinki region. Multiple bus companies operate services to Namba. Once you arrive at Namba Bus Terminal, follow the signs to Dotonbori, which is a short 10-minute walk. Ensure to have cash on hand for the bus fare; it typically costs between ¥300 to ¥600 depending on your starting point.

• Taxi

  For a more direct route, taking a taxi is a convenient option. Simply provide the driver with the address '1 Chome Dotonbori, Chuo Ward, Osaka, 542-0084.' Depending on your starting point, taxi fares can vary widely, but expect to pay anywhere from ¥1,500 to ¥3,000 for a ride from central Osaka. Taxis are readily available at major train stations and tourist areas.
