If you are driving from the center of Koshi, start by heading southwest on Route 3 (Kumamoto Prefectural Route 3) towards Aso District. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers. Look for signs that direct you towards Aso or Aso National Park. Once you reach the Aso area, follow the local signs to the Aso District attractions. Parking is available in designated areas.
Public Transportation
To reach Aso District using public transportation, first, head to the Koshi train station. From there, take the JR Kagoshima Line towards Kumamoto Station. At Kumamoto Station, transfer to the JR Hohi Line and board a train bound for Aso Station. The journey will take about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at Aso Station, you can either take a local bus or a taxi to explore the Aso District attractions.
