Getting There

Bus

From Kanazawa Station, head to the East Exit and find the bus terminal. Take the Nohi Bus bound for Shirakawa-go (approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes). The bus will take you through scenic routes. Get off at the Shirakawa-go bus stop. From the bus stop, walk towards the village center, following the signs for Myozenji temple, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill.
Train and Bus

From Kanazawa Station, take the JR Hokuriku Line to Takayama Station (approximately 2 hours). Once at Takayama Station, transfer to the Nohi Bus and take the bus to Shirakawa-go (about 50 minutes). After arriving at the Shirakawa-go bus stop, follow the signs to Myozenji temple, which is a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, take a taxi from Kanazawa to Myozenji temple. This option is more expensive but will take you directly to the temple without any transfers. The journey typically takes about 1 hour and will cost approximately ¥12,000 to ¥15,000.
