    From central Koshi, head southeast on Route 57. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers. You will pass through Aso and will eventually see signs for Minamiaso. Once in Minamiaso, follow the signs to Shirakawa Spring, which is located at 2040 Shirakawa. There is parking available nearby.

    Public Transportation

    Take the Kumamoto City Tram to Kumamoto Station. From there, transfer to the JR Hohi Line towards Aso. Get off at Minamiaso Station. From the station, you can take a local bus (check the schedule for the bus times) that goes directly to Shirakawa Spring, or if you prefer to walk, it is about a 30-minute walk from the station. Just follow the road signs to Shirakawa Spring.
