Car
If you're driving from central Mutsu, begin by heading west on Route 338 (Mutsu Bypass). Continue on this road for approximately 20 km until you reach the junction with Route 4. Take the exit toward Route 4 and merge onto it. Follow Route 4 for about 10 km. Look for signs indicating Aomori and Maruyama Sannai. After approximately 5 km, take a left turn onto Maruyama-305. Jomon Jiyukan will be located on your right. Please note that parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation - Bus
From Mutsu Station, take the bus heading toward Aomori City. You will need to get off at the Maruyama Sannai bus stop. The journey takes about 40 minutes and costs around 600 yen. Once you arrive at the Maruyama Sannai bus stop, it is a short 5-minute walk to Jomon Jiyukan. Simply head north along the main road, and you will see the museum ahead.
Taxi
For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Mutsu Station to Jomon Jiyukan. The taxi ride takes approximately 30 minutes and costs around 3,000 to 4,000 yen, depending on traffic. Just tell the driver 'Jomon Jiyukan' or provide the address: Maruyama-305 Sannai, Aomori, 038-0031.
