Car
If you are driving from the center of Mutsu, start by heading east on Route 338. Continue on this road for approximately 21 km (about 30 minutes). You will pass through the scenic countryside. As you approach Yagen Ohata, turn left onto Yagen Onsen Road. Follow this road for about 5 km until you reach Yagen Hot Spring, located at Yagen Ohata, Mutsu, Aomori 039-4401. There is parking available on-site.
Public Transportation
To reach Yagen Hot Spring using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Mutsu Station. Look for the bus service that heads towards Yagen Onsen, which operates at intervals throughout the day. The bus ride will take approximately 50 minutes. Get off at the 'Yagen Onsen' stop, which is the closest stop to the hot spring. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to Yagen Hot Spring. Ensure you check the bus schedule in advance, as service may vary.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from any location in Mutsu. Simply provide the driver with the address Yagen Ohata, Mutsu, Aomori 039-4401. The taxi ride will take around 30 minutes and will cost approximately 5,000 JPY, depending on traffic conditions.
