Car
If you're driving, start from Nara Park and head south on Route 169. Continue for about 5 km until you reach a junction. Take the right turn onto Route 24, then follow the signs for Saidai-ji Temple. The temple is located at 1 Chome-1-5 Saidaiji Shibacho, Nara. There is parking available at the temple, but it's advisable to arrive early to secure a space.
Public Transportation
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line towards Kintetsu Nara Station. Alight at Saidaiji Station, which takes about 15 minutes. Upon exiting the station, turn left and walk straight for about 10 minutes. You will see signs directing you to Saidai-ji Temple, which is located at 1 Chome-1-5 Saidaiji Shibacho, Nara. The total fare for the train is approximately 200 yen.
Walking from Saidaiji Station
If you prefer to walk from Saidaiji Station, exit the station and head south on the main road. After about 1 km, you will arrive at Saidai-ji Temple. Along the way, enjoy the local shops and cafes that may be of interest. The walk should take around 15-20 minutes.
