Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving, start from Nara Park and head south on Route 169. Continue for about 5 km until you reach a junction. Take the right turn onto Route 24, then follow the signs for Saidai-ji Temple. The temple is located at 1 Chome-1-5 Saidaiji Shibacho, Nara. There is parking available at the temple, but it's advisable to arrive early to secure a space.

    From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line towards Kintetsu Nara Station. Alight at Saidaiji Station, which takes about 15 minutes. The total fare for the train is approximately 200 yen.
