Car
If you are driving, start on National Route 369 and head towards Nara City. Follow the signs for Nara Park (Nara Koen). Once you reach Nara Park, look for the signs directing you to Kasuga Taisha. The shrine is located at 160 Kasuganocho, Nara, 630-8212. There is parking available near Nara Park, but be sure to check for any parking fees, which can range from 500 to 1000 yen depending on the lot.
Public Transportation
From Nara Station, take the Nara Kotsu Bus (No. 70 or 72) towards Kasuga Taisha. The bus ride takes approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Kasuga Taisha' stop. The fare is around 210 yen. From the bus stop, it is a short walk to the shrine entrance. Follow the path leading into the Nara Park area.
Walking
If you are already in Nara Park or nearby, Kasuga Taisha is easily accessible on foot. From the main entrance of Nara Park, head towards the central area of the park and follow the signs pointing towards Kasuga Taisha. The walk takes about 20 minutes and you will enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way, including deer and traditional lanterns.
