From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line towards Kyoto. After about 30 minutes, transfer at Yamato-Saidaiji Station to the JR Nara Line. Continue on this line for approximately 20 minutes until you reach Kusatsu Station. Once you arrive at Kusatsu Station, exit the station and head towards the east exit. From there, you can take a local bus (Bus number 8 or 9) directly to the Lake Biwa Museum. The bus ride will take about 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Lake Biwa Museum' stop.

From Nara Park, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is 'Nara Kintetsu'. Take the Kintetsu Bus bound for Kusatsu. It takes approximately 45 minutes to reach Kusatsu. Once you arrive at Kusatsu, get off at the 'Lake Biwa Museum' stop, which is just a short walk from the museum entrance.
