Car
If you are driving, start from central Nikko. Take National Route 120 towards Akechidaira. Follow the signs for Akechidaira Ropeway. The drive takes about 30 minutes, and there is a parking lot available near the ropeway station. Note that parking fees may apply.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, take a bus from Nikko Station. Look for the Akechidaira Ropeway bus (usually marked with signs in English). The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Check the schedule in advance as buses may have limited service, especially in off-peak seasons. The bus fare is around 600 yen one way.
Walking from Bus Stop
Once you arrive at the Akechidaira Ropeway bus stop, it’s a short walk to the ropeway station. Follow the signs leading you directly to the entrance. The walk is approximately 5 minutes and is well-marked.
