    Car

    If you're driving, start from central Nikko and head southeast on Route 119. Continue on Route 119 for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 460. Turn left onto Route 460 and keep going for about 1 kilometer. Gohonsha will be on your left at 2301 Sannai, Nikko, Tochigi 321-1431. Parking is available nearby, but be prepared to pay a fee which can range from 300 to 500 yen per hour.

    Bus

    To reach Gohonsha by public transportation, take the 'Toshogu' bus from Nikko Station. The bus ride takes roughly 10-15 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Toshogu', which is the closest stop to Gohonsha. After disembarking, walk about 10 minutes east along the road, and you will find Gohonsha at 2301 Sannai, Nikko, Tochigi 321-1431. The bus fare is around 300 yen.

    If you are already in Nikko and prefer to walk, start from the main area of Nikko. Head southeast on Route 119 towards Toshogu Shrine. It’s about a 30-minute walk (approximately 2.5 kilometers). Follow the signs towards Toshogu Shrine, and after passing the main entrance, continue straight for about 500 meters. Gohonsha will be on your left at 2301 Sannai. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the path can be uneven.
