Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Nikko. Head northeast on Route 119, which is the main road. After approximately 3 kilometers, turn right onto Route 132. Continue for about 1 kilometer until you reach the traffic lights. Turn left onto Sannai Road. Follow this road for about 1 kilometer, and you will find the Nitenmon Gate on your right at 2300 Sannai. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that parking may incur a small fee.

Public Transportation - Bus
To reach Nitenmon Gate via public transportation, you can take the Nikko City Bus from Nikko Station. Board the bus bound for 'Kegon Falls.' After approximately 15 minutes, get off at 'Nikko Tamozawa Imperial Villa' bus stop. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk. Head north along the road until you reach Sannai Road, then turn right. Nitenmon Gate will be on your left. The bus fare is around 300 yen one-way.

If you are already in the vicinity of Nikko's attractions, you can walk to Nitenmon Gate. Starting from the Toshogu Shrine, exit the shrine area and head south on the main road. After about 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto Sannai Road. Continue walking for about 1 kilometer. You will see the Nitenmon Gate on your right at 2300 Sannai. This walk will take approximately 30 minutes, and you can enjoy the natural scenery along the way.
