Car
If you are driving, head towards the center of Nikko city. Follow the signs for 'Nikko Toshogu' or 'Kegon Falls.' You will drive on Route 119. Upon reaching the 'Nikko Toshogu Shrine', continue straight and follow the road until you see signs for Shinkyō Bridge (Shin-Kyō). There is parking available near the bridge, but it may incur a fee of around 500 yen for a few hours.
Train and Walk
If you are using public transportation, take the Tobu Nikko Line from Tobu Nikko Station. Once you arrive at the station, exit and follow the signs to the bus terminal. Board a bus that is heading towards 'Nikko Toshogu Shrine' or 'Shinkyō Bridge.' The bus ride is about 10-15 minutes. Get off at the 'Shinkyō' bus stop. From there, it is a short 5-minute walk to the bridge. Note that the bus fare is approximately 300 yen one way.
Walking
If you are already near Nikko Station or the city center, you can choose to walk to Shinkyō Bridge. Head south towards Kamihatsuishimachi. The walk takes about 20-30 minutes. Follow the main road and look for signs directing you to Shinkyō Bridge. This route offers a scenic view of the area, and it's a great way to explore the local surroundings.
